VIRTUAL CONSOLE (Wii) |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||
Yeah, I know, what an epic introduction. When Nintendo released their Wii console in 2005, 2006ish, they created a new service known as the "Virtual Console", a service that allowed you to download their old back-catalog of their old games for the NES, SNES, Game Boy, N64, and so on, as well as some other consoles such as the TurboGrafix/NEC PC Engine, Arcade, Sega Genesis, Neo Geo, and so on. To some, it was an irritation because it gave some clout to the "grayh area" of downloading ROMS for emulation of old I.P., because now hwere they were availiable for download on Nintendo's console for a price - meaning now Nintendo's IP was legally available again, and now they had an excuse to go after Emulation, ROM sites, and people who use emulators again with C&Ds and lawsuits, and shutdowns. It also meant new releases could be added as well. So rather than reinvent the wheel, I will just provide a table below with the games involved, and some links to them, of which I have downloaded via Virtual console and played. The links to them will route them to their original hardware page (if I have it).
