RFZ01 Fazz Fuzz |
![]() What Motivated Me to Start Building this thing? Basically, I was playing in my 90's cover band "Sweaty Vedders" in Seattle at the time, and I foudn that the Marshall Crunch of my Bugera 333XL was just not cutting it for some 1990's covers. The issue was that I needed that blatty muddiness of a Fuzz. All teh 90's bands played with Fuzz Pedals: Tad and their Big Muffs and Univox Super Fuzz pedals, Nirvana's ol' "Yung Mann" Fuzz, people were using fuzz a LOT in the early 1990's. That whole Gavin Rossdale "Glycerine" type tone - a Jazzmaster through a fuzz. I took a brief look at Fuzz Pedals on the market and appalled at how expensive they were, since we were in the middle of Hipster-dom, and Hipsters loved offsets and Fuzzes, so I was basically on the trend. Irritated by the prices, I decided to step up my electronics skills and see what it would require to create a Fuzz Pedal, and Iw as shocked even the most basic fuzz was like....$2 in parts! That's almost a 50-100x multiplier for the cost of the damn pedal! The Development Process |
