CREEPINGNET'S WORLD
THE EVER-GROWING ANNOYANCE OF YOUTUBE
Making Videos used to be Fun....
Back in 2005, I would usually get roosted from my bed on my Net10 Nokia 1100 phone to the sound of some businessperson in an HR Department somewhere asking if I'd like a Job Interview. For me, this was what my single years of 2006-late 2010 were. Wake up, get a call, pretend I wasn't sleeping - totally wide awake, like I'm James Bond on vacation sitting poolside (when I was really napping), getting the call for my next "assignment". I did piecemeal I.T. work at the time. Basically, you'd drive to some office for 3 days of the week, and get paid what they would normally pay you full time for a week or even a month of entry-level I.T. work at the time, and then go home, and enjoy the rest of my month in quiet solitude.

If I had been like this in 2025, 23, single, and somehow managing to make a living enough to not need room mates and live in my own place, you could say I have a similiar existance to say, Henry Rollins. The changes in society since then would have probably lead me to not seek out socializiation, even on the internet. But in 2005, it was considered "Weird" or "sick" to be that way, and you were "supposed" to want to find companionship of a lover, some friends, and maybe a few colleagues.

"So, what does this have to do with your YouTube channel?". Well, everything. See, I lived in Seattle, and there was a concept of "The Seattle Freeze". People were polite, but people were also not exactly keen on making relationships with "outsiders", funny since most of the people themselves wERE outsiders. But that's another story for another day.
