WINDOWS 3.1X REQUIREMENTS
What You Need to Run Windows 3.1x, and what Windows 3.1x needs from you
Windows 3.1x has a different set of requirements depending on the four (of the 5) versions you choose to use. I'm not touching Windows 3.2 Chinese because I CAN'T READ CHINESE.

Windows 3.1 & 3.11 requires at least a 286 CPU, at least 2MB of RAM, at least 4-6MB of hard disk space, and you need at least a VGA card and a mouse for the best experience. Back in the day, the typical plain jane Windows 3.1 or 3.11 system was typically at least a 16MHz 386SX, with peak specimens being 486 DX2 and DX4 systems. However, it can run on a 286, and it runs quite well, however, your software selection is severely limited because just about everything for WIndows 3.1 was designed to run on a 386 or 486 computer.

Windows For Workgroups 3.1/3.11 ups the ante a bit as we are now talking about Networking. So a 386SX with 4MB of RAM is the BARE MINIMUM for Windows For Workgroups to function properly. 386 Enhanced Mode is not an option, it's a REQUIREMENT. That said, we will talk about
