CREEPINGNET'S WORLD
COSMIC ARK (IMAGIC)
Imagic was the second big third party company for the 2600 to come around, and they always had technically advanced games with very good graphics and rather complex premise, and this is one of the more complex ones.

Cosmic Ark takes the concept of "Noah's Ark" and put's a space twist on it by making the "ark" a UFO, and the animals "Aliens" on other planets you have to save using a tractor beam, all the while avoiding obstacles and blowing up Asteroids/Enemies. It goes in "waves" flipping between two different play modes - Space, and Planet.

Space waves have the "Ark" in space shooting in all 4 directions to blow up asteroids, enemies, and debris. The planet waves have the player avoiding various obstacles while trying to beam up the aliens from the planet surface. Again, it's another one of those "high score" games for the 2600 like a lot of the others, but it's a fun one, and something different that much is for sure.

Night Rangers of Outer Space - My Experiences
This is one of those I did not know about until I got into Emulation in the mid 1990s and started hanging around on the internet. I seems it's sort of a "Cult Classic" in the "2600 Scene" and mentioned mostly by those "in the know". I recall learning of this one's gameplay with my first Sony Playstation in 2000, which I bought off a classmate for $20.00. The first game I buy? Activision Classics, which also had Imagic games on it as well.

Eventually I wanted to pick up a copy for the actual 2600, and at some point I got this one. It's one of those titles I quite enjoy.
