CREEPINGNET'S WORLD
Gemios (ゲイモス)
1985, ASCII, Famicom
Gemios/Geymios (ゲイモス) is a 3D Shooter released by ASCII for the Nintendo Family Computer in 1985. It is a Japanese Exclusive title and gets misnamed on the 400-in-1 as "Bemios" - which may be an issue on other Famiclone type devices as well. And to be completley honest, I had to pull ALL of this from a translated Japanese Wikipedia page, so bear with me.

In the manga ``Fami Tamashii Wolf'' (1986), the main character and the enemy played this game in a competition to see who could clear the 6th stage first. Game content

Defeat the enemy by using the anti-aircraft weapon ``Pulsar'' and the anti-ground weapon ``Quasar''. Each stage is set on a planet in the solar system, starting from Earth and gradually progressing to the outer reaches of the solar system. It is a so-called "loop game" where you return to the first stage after completing the sixth stage, and the game continues until there are no more lives left.

Phobos warps (escapes) to the next planet by firing 5 pulsars at its weak point and clears the stage, but there is a time limit in the battle against Phobos, and if you can't fire 5 pulsars within the time limit, you will be given a chance to clear the stage. "Start over again." Also, when the scene where Phobos appears, for some reason I can't press "PAUSE".

This game has ``Mode A'' and ``Mode B.'' There is a big difference in the feel of controlling your own aircraft due to scrolling, but there is no difference in the operating method or the game rules themselves.

Mode A: You can move your aircraft within the fixed screen frame in the vertical and horizontal directions.

Mode B: Your aircraft is always fixed at the center of the screen, and the other aircraft move using the four-way controller. The range in which you can move your aircraft is the same as mode A.

In the May 10, 1991 special supplement of the game magazine "Family Computer Magazine" entitled "Famicom Rom Cassette All Catalog", it was introduced as follows: "You can select between two modes and choose the one you prefer for the screen movement, but it doesn't make much sense." [1] footnote
