Pyramid 1992, American Video Entertainment, NES/Famicom |
Pyramid is a puzzle game in a similiar vein to Alexi Pajitnov's Tetris released by American Video Entertainment (AVE) in 1992. It's obviously not as well known as neither the Tengen or Nintendo releases of Tetris.
In Pyramid, various shapes fall from the top of the screen made up of triangles. The point is similar to Tetris in that you build solid "lines" of these triangular pieces to clear them. The thing is, this makes the game much more challenging because gaps are not as easily filled, especially if the "right" block(s) don't fall when the timing is good. It seems Pyramid was not very well liked, GameFAQs gives it a score of brutally hard, and not all that fun. Kind of odd since my experiences tended to differ somewhat.Catchy Tagline - My Experiences Videos Other Stuff |
