Spy vs. Spy started off as a computer game created by Michael Riedel and published by First Star Software in 1984 for the Commodore 64. It was later ported over to the NES and Famicom and published by Kemco sometime around 1987. It's based on the Mad Magazine comic strip.

Spy vs. Spy, as a video game, is a split screen competitive game where 2 spies try to kill each other using improbably elaborate traps. Basically, each player, gets to run around a building taking and hiding evidence, setting traps, and trying to off each other.

Spy Vs. Spy is one of those NES games that probably got some rough rap from the likes of AVGN or Seanbaby but here's my own personal accounts on it below....
