Hyper Olympic started as an arcade game released by Konami in 1983. The Japanese release was considered a official release for the 1984 Summer Olympics (cue the Loverboy "Nothing's Gonna' Stop You Now"). It was released on the Famicom under the same name in 1984, and released for the NES in 1987 as "Track & Field", albeit in weird, reduced, and modified variants.
