CREEPINGNET'S WORLD
Karateka
1987, Broderbund, NES/Famicom
Karateka was released in 1984 for the Apple II by Jordan Mechner. It was later ported to multiple consoles including the Nintendo Family Computer and NES sometime toward the end of the 1980's. It's a Martial Arts video game with an interesting cadence.

In Karateka, our nameless protagonist is entering some kind of dojo hideout where his girlfriend princess Mariko has been abducted to. Unlike most Martial Arts style beat-em-up's of the time, enemies come at you in waves after you deafeat them, and it takes a very slow pace.
