Pac-Man 1986, Namco, NES/Famicom |
Ah, we all know what this is. Pac-Man was released to the Arcades in 1981 and was a smash hit, such a smash Pac-Man himself became somewhat of an iconic mascot in the Mario/Sonic/Freddy Fazbear vein to the point there were toys, cartoons, and even a song called "Pac-Man Fever" released. It was ported to darn near everything on a scale only DOOM can lay claim to - including the Atari 2600 VCS version.
Seriously, where have you been? Under a Rock? IN Pac-Man you play as the little yellow ball with a mouth that gets chased around a maze by ghosts. You can eat "power pellets" to become invincible and eat the ghosts as well as the various dots around the maze. Occasionally random fruits will appear on the playfield for bonus points. The impact of Pac-Man cannot be understated! It was so popular it spawned a sequel with his girlfriend/wife Ms. Pac-Man, his son "Pac-Man Jr." and even a Baby Pac-Man game that involved a hybrid Pinball Machine/Arcade Stand-Up hybrid unit!. There was also a "Pac-Land" game, a updated isometric Pac-Man game, and many others over the years.Catchy Tagline - My Experiences Videos Other Stuff |
