CREEPINGNET'S WORLD
TETRIS PARTY (Wii)
Tetris Party was released in 2010 and is a part of the Tetris license Nintendo obtained in 1989 for console ports. This particular version adds support for using Mii characters, and features various types of multiplayer support.

This adding, included with multiplayer, includes multiple tetris variations including a regular "beginners" version that's just the regular game, another one that uses the balance board instead (now there's a catalyst for injuries at my age), co-op tetris, one where you construct a way for a little man to get to the top fo the screen by stacking blocks (sounds like INtelligent Qube for Playstation, LOL), Shadow, Stage Racer, and Dual Spaces.

I dunno how well it did. I'm in a pretty odd place when it comes to modern games because I don't have the whole "Social" thing when it comes to them, nor do I really care that much. I picked this one up mostly because of nostalgia and my favor of hte originals from the NES era.
Exploring the Future-Past of Tetris
I got the ORIGINAL Tetris for the NES in 1990, and the Game Boy version in 1992. Since then, those have been the ports that I've preferred. I had some experience with the Windows Game Pack version for Windows 3.1 as well, but not enough access to it to really appreciate it, as well as the various other PC ports including Nyet, the proper Tetris port for PC and Mac, and so on. So that's what I was used to.

So I saw this at the local game shop for 5 and a half bananas at the time, and wanted to see what it is. I've still not fully explored it because I have far less motivation to play modern games than I do the old shit I've been playing since I was, uh, eight. All I have played as of this writing, is the classic variation. It is, however, cool that it can keep your scores on the Wii's memory. Beats when I was growing up and my mom had those "sacred" post-its on the Tetris cartridge of her insanely high scores....like level 15 with 19582029 points or whatever.
