Here it is, a walkthrough done in my style. Dragon Warrior IV is a long JRPG. Spanning 5 chapters with multiple side quests, bonuses, and other things to keep you occupied for hours with this long, deep, and at times emotional tale of the "Chapters of the Chosen".
In Dragon Warrior IV, we leave behind the trilogy of Erdrick for a new story - the Zenithian Trilogy (or the Zenithian Unology as it was in the states because Square/Enix KILLED OFF Dragon Warrior in the USA for about 5 years of the 1990's - and then blindsided us with VII for the Playstation years later). So the story....jeebus...where do I begin...where do I begin... It's called chapters of the chosen because we follow the backstories and lives of your future commrades as the "Hero" of the universe - a orphaned lovechild of a angel and a woodsmith - who is to save the world from the evil Necrosaro....a murderous Misanthropic Boyfriend to a dead elven woman wo cried ruby tears...who was murdered by some meatheads in a field for India's currency pouring from her tear ducts. Also a man who murdered an alchemist and started evolving evil creatures into abominations that make Donald Trump's r**ing Eggman lawyer look human! So welcome to my favorite game in the series - Dragon Warrior IV, in it's ultra rare, ultra expensive, hard to get, irritatingly so, over $100 original NES 1992 release gamecart form!CHAPTER I: RAGNAR THE ROYAL SOLDIER You start out in Dragon Warrior IV Playing as Ragnar, the Royal Soldier of the castle town of Burland. And your job? Try and find out about Code Amber alerts in the town to the north - Izmit Village. CHAPTER II: PRINCESS ALENA, FEMINISM IN AN RPG Princess Alena is a feminist at heart. She wants to show the world women indeed can be strong, independant, and tough. So she's been embarking on quests of her own while her sexist father, the King of Santeem, keeps trying to lock her away in the castle like a "prim and proper princess". Well, maybe there is Karma. CHAPTER III: TALOON THE ARMS MERCHANT Taloon works in a Weapons shop in a town far north of Endor. He dreams one day of owning his own shop, and becoming a true entremeneur. His story leads him on a crazy tale of wild adventures. CHAPTER IV: NARA & MARA, SISTERS OF NO-MERCY Nara & Mara are two orphan sisters who lost their father Edgar to a bastard student who killed him and stole one of his inventions. Little do they know that the "student" has far more to do with the state of the world than they realize at this point, lol. CHAPTER V: THE HERO COMETH And here it is, the true greek tradgedy of the whole story. You're the one the others have been looking to find and protect, the omen, the shining ray of hope for the world. Your mom fell from the skies, had intimate relations with a woodsman, and well...here you are, and were cared for in a hidden village, the son/daughter of a Zenithian, and a woodsman. Falling somewhere between the story of Sweet Tooth and Milo and Otis.....here's the Hero's story. APPENDIX |
