CREEPINGNET'S WORLD
WORLDS OF ULTIMA: SAVAGE EMPIRE
I'm guessing around 1992 or so, just as the Ultima Franchise was at it's peak, Richard and his team at Origin were getting tired of telling tales of virtue, skyward sadistic monkey men, and making bread due to rampant spamming of the "use" command. So here comes one of the first spinoffs, using the engine of 1990's Ultima VI: The False Prophet reskinned to look something more like a Amazonian Edutainment Title.

In Worlds of Ultima: Savage Empire, some guy named Myrmedix (SP?) sends the Avatar to some unmappalbe region of earth called "Eodon" during a failed experiment with a Obsidian "Moonstone". It results in the Avatar going on some quest to bring peace to the valley of Eodon by working with the 13 tribes, learning of their "Jungle Magic" and even killing a T-Rex (!?!?). Otherwise, it plays just like Ultima VI: The False Prophet, just now it looks like you're wandering some kind of primitive jungle with tribal people.

Savage Empire it seems did okay, but never had the grip more often seen in the Ultima mainline series, probably because the storylines to these start to fly back into the "Ultima II: The Time Bandits and the Stranger" territory. So it's sort of a "sidenote" in the Ultima series, rather than an often mentioned release.
